Arsenal are reportedly lining up a £5m bid for Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger sent scouts to watch the Croatian international in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Italy, according to the Goal.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a stellar season with Zagreb, whose contract expires in 2019 – is also believed to have interest from couple of German clubs and Italian giants AC Milan.
Currently, Mathieu Flamini is the only defensive midfielder in Wenger’s first-team squad, who continues to struggle in his second spell at the Emirates.
With that in mind, Wenger is said to be keen on strengthening those options in January and attempting to resurrect their stuttering Premier league campaign.
Brozovic scored nine goals in 62 appearances since joining the club in 2012 from Lokomotiva.
