Arsenal have confirmed that the midfielder Lukas Podolski has joined the Italian club Inter Milan on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 29-year-old, who has just one year left on his existing contract – hasn’t played a single game for the Gunners this Premier League season and has expressed his desire to leave the club for Internazionale in order to find first-team opportunities.
The German international, has scored 31 goals in 82 appearances for the north Londoners since he arrived the Emirates in 2012 from FC Koln.
Podolski, who was part of the winning World Cup squad in Brazil, has already linked up with Nerazzurri and trained in Milan on Monday.
Podolski received tweets from his teammates Kieran Gibbs and Aaron Ramsey who both wished him well.
