The La Liga giants Barcelona have reportedly made an opening bid of £70m cash for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez after a productive talks been held between the two clubs.
The Catalan club representative met with Liverpool directors in London to discuss a much-touted move for the striker, with Barcelona making him their primary summer target.
It’s understood the Reds are willing to discuss a deal further for the Uruguayan, who has been banned for four-month from football related activity handed down by FIFA for his biting incident at the World Cup 2014, but the Anfield club had requested Alexis Sanchez to be included in a deal.
However, Sanchez is not willing to move to Anfield, with a whooping £70m cash deal being discussed for the 27-year-old star instead.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has already spent around £40m this summer on Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Emre Can’s signature, and looking forward to reinforce his defence with Dejan Lovren and Ryan Bertrand ahead of next season.
