Birmingham City are looking to strengthen their squad further with a possible loan move for Arsenal striker Benik Afobe.
Afobe, who has played for England under-19s, is well thought of at the Emirates but Arsene Wenger would be interested in moving him out on loan to gain much needed first-team experience, especially as he missed most of last season with a knee injury.
Afobe did return to fitness in March, joining Reading on loan and making three appearances as they won promotion from the Championship. He is also well known to new City manager Lee Clark who brought him to the Galpharm Stadium during his time in charge of Huddersfield Town.
However, City may not be alone in wanting to get Afobe before the start of the season as Bristol City are also rumoured to be chasing the 19-year-old.
If he does make the move to St Andrews he will join Peter Lovenkrands, David Lucas and Hayden Mullins, who have all joined the Blues in the last fortnight.
Other names linked with a move to St Andrews include Crystal Palace midfielder Darren Ambrose and Liam Lawrence, who seems certain to leave relegated Portsmouth.
