The defending Premier League champions Chelsea have reportedly lined-up £60m-rated Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann if Eden Hazard leaves Stamford Bridge at the end of the campaign.
Griezmann has been excellent for the Spanish outfit over the past two seasons and is regarded as one of the most-wanted attacking strikers in the European football.
The Frenchman’s contract is believed to have a £60m buy-out clause, and Rojiblancos could be tempted to allow the 24-year-old’s to leave if they need to fund a rebuild before their FIFA-imposed transfer ban kicks in.
Hazard has struggled miserable this season at Chelsea since being voted Player of the Year for 2014-15. However, the club’s Interim manager Guus Hiddink stated that, even if there are big bids for the Belgian winger in the summer, the club will certainly reject them. ‘It’s not up to me, it’s up to the club,’ said Hiddink. ‘When he gets his rhythm back, then he’s of big value to Chelsea.
Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are both now monitoring Hazard’s situations at the London club.
