Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho believes his side must perform well as they ready to face Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday.
Chelsea will play without suspended and injured striker Fernando Torres, but Juan Mata and Andre Schurrle could both play.
The former Real Madrid boss is also hoping his side can win their first away win of the season, before they head off on the international break.
Mourinho is expecting to see an improvement from whoever is off to play.
“It would be good. We have a lot to improve, we have a lot to work,” Mourinho said. “We will have moments of ups and downs, because teams of this profile, with young people, with some people that are not mature, the normal tendency is that performances are not always very stable.
“We will have our ups and downs for sure. I’m ready for that.”
