The newly crowned EPL champions Chelsea have reportedly launched a £22m bid to sign Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi, according to the Evening Standard.
The Blues are confident to bring a world-class striker to their squad this summer to add support for Diego Costa, whose current season at the west London was disrupted by a number of injury problems.
Icardi, 22, is aware of Blues’ interest and he is reluctant to sign his extension at the San Siro.
The Argentine, who joined Internazionale from Sampdoria in 2013, and has scored 20 goals this season.
Icardi’s addition with Diego Costa up front will be a great boost for Chelsea. There have been rumours that Didier Drogba could leave the Stamford Bridge this summer which means Mourinho will definitely bring a talented attacker this summer.
