City’s next assignment to West Ham for more away wins

The Premier League’s second position holder Manchester City will travel to West Ham this Saturday evening.

Fixture: West Ham vs Man City
Date: January 23rd, 2016
English Premier League
Venue: York Street, West Ham
Kick-Off Time: 17:30

West Ham United had shown their potential this season, having nine drawn and eight defeats so far this season. The Hammers are currently find themselves in sixth position in the league table.

The Hosts will be looking to complete the league double over Manchester City as they are unbeaten in their last eight league games at Upton Park.

However, the last season’s runner-ups Manchester City are currently sitting on the 2nd place in league table with 43 points out of 22 games, having 13 victories besides 5 defeats and 4 drawn so far this season.

City have scored most goals in Premier League (43) and will be looking for a revenge having lost a game with the Hammers earlier this season at the Etihad.

The Citizens had gone six road trips without a victory before they came from behind to beat newly promoted Watford 2-1.

The return of Argentine Sergio Aguero will be a massive boost for the Sky Blues, as the trip to West Ham United won’t be an easy and this could be another three pointers for Manuel Pellegrini’s side and get another away win to keep the pressure on the top two.

The Hammers were struggling of their good form at Newcastle last Saturday and they just can’t resist to play like that with City.

West Ham Possible line-up:

Kasper Schmeichel (vice-captain), Matty James, Marc Albrighton, Ritchie De Laet, Wes Morgan (captain), Robert Huth, N’Golo Kante, Jamie Vardy, Dean Hammond, Shinji Okazaki, Jeff Schlupp, Danny Simpson, Andrej Kramaric, Riyad Mahrez, David Nugent.

J Hart, Fabian Delph, J Navas, Samir Nasri, Yaya Toure, David Silva, Vincent Kompany (captain), B Sagna, Fernandinho, Raheem Sterling, S Aguero, R Lopes, Wilfried Bony, P Zabaleta, Martin Demichelis.

Prediction:

The visitors are little ahead of West Ham and also remain favourites to win this game, but a 1 – 1 draw is the most expected result with several bookmakers offering odds of 7/1 and 13/2 respectively.
