Everton keen on Barcelona defender Douglas?

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is reportedly planning a January loan move for Barcelona defender Douglas, according to talkSPORT.

Martinez is determined to bring some more talent to Goodison Park at the next available transfer window, who has a strong relationship with the Catalan side and he is hoping to utilise them in January in order to boost his side’s defence.

The 24-year-old Brazilian has struggled to establish himself at the Nou Camp, who has made just one league appearance for Barca since he joined the Spanish giants this summer from Sao Paolo.

Douglas is known for his attacking skills and pace, making him the sort of full-back ideally suited to play in Martinez’s defence.

The Toffees have also been linked with Winston Reid from West Ham United in recent weeks.
