Juan Mata happy with Blues

Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata insists he is “very happy” at the club and has no intention of leaving Stamford Bridge.

The Spain international has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United as part of a deal to sign Wayne Rooney, but the midfielder says he does not want to leave the club this summer and looking forward to the new season.

The 25-year-old said: “I was so relaxed about all the speculation about me leaving. I spoke to the club and spoke to the manager who said I was very important to them. So there’s nothing to say about it.

“It’s always very good to hear you are important to the club. Everyone wants to feel they are important.

“So I’m very happy. I’m training with the new manager and we want to improve on last season.”

Meanwhile, the same story applies to the defender David Luiz, who is in the rumours to be linked with la Liga giants Barcelona.
