MLS: LA Galaxy to offer £20m salary for Steven Gerrard

MLS Side Los Angeles Galaxy are reportedly prepared to offer Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard £100,000-a-week to move to Major League Soccer this summer, reports The Mirror.

The 34-year-old midfielder has confirmed that he will be leaving the Anfield at the end of the season after spending 17-year career with the Merseyside club.

The report his suggested that the Reigning MLS champions seek a replacement for former US international Landon Donovan and would be prepared to go £20m salary to land the former England skipper.

Other MLS clubs with the likes of Toronto FC and New York Red Bulls are also said to be interested for the player’s signature.

However, the reports suggest that a deal between the player and the club has already been agreed.

Gerrard has scored 180 goals in 695 appearances for the Reds since making his debut against Blackburn Rovers in 1998.
