Report: Liverpool close in on PSG defender Lucas Digne

Liverpool are reportedly ready to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Digne, as the Frenchman is likely to leave this summer.

The 21-years-old’s agent Mikkel Beck has claimed that Digne will leave the French outfit after helping the Parisians to secure the Ligue 1 title last season.

“There is a big possibility that he will leave on a permanent deal,” Mikkel Beck said to Metro.

Meanwhile the Reds are looking to overcome a gutted finish to their 2014-15 season, as manager Brendan Rodgers looks desperate to bring in a young player like Digne, who has made 63 appearances in all competitions since joining for Laurent Blanc’s side from Lille in 2013.

The defender is also targeted by the Italians AS Roma, while the Spanish club Valencia have also made an interest, but the Premier League outfit could win the race for Digne’s signature, who is known to be unhappy at his lack of game last season.
