The Mirror have reported that Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has asked his boss Brendan Rodgers to let him leave the Anfield during the current transfer window.
The 29-year-old centre-back made an emotional plea with Rodgers during Liverpool’s US pre-season tour.
It is reported that the Liverpool vice-captain left the meeting in tears in the dressing room and was allowed to fly home from America early.
Meanwhile, the Catalan giants Barcelona are favourites to sign the Danish international, who made just 23 appearances for the Reds in all competitions last season.
Although, Agger’s future at Anfield is in doubt, especially with the arrival of Southampton star Dejan Lovren.
Agger has been at Anfield since January 2006, almost for eight years now, but recently he found himself on the tough situation of the first-team as the club challenged for the title last season.
