Yaya Toure’s agent, Dimitri Seluk, has confirmed that the midfielder will remain with the Manchester City until 2017, as reported by BBC Sport.
The report claims that Seluk had previously insisted (Earlier in May) that the Ivorian was set to move this summer, and now his agent Seluk has told Sky Sports News, the player is “too important to let go”.
Following a disappointing season, the Citizens are looking to re-build their squad this summer with the thirty-two year old has been slightly inform this season compared to his last, although he still displays some brilliant performances such as his recent double in the 4-2 win at Swansea City.
The former Barcelona player, who signed a four-year contract extension in 2013 – still has two years left on his current contract at Etihad, worth around €300,000 a week.
Toure has scored 10 goals in 29 Premier League games as the club finished second in the table.
