The French champions Paris Saint-Germain have been strongly linked with the 32-year-old, but the amid reports has suggested that their coach, Laurent Blanc, believes the defender doesn’t want to leave the Spanish champions.

Blanc said: “I can say that Dani Alves will not come to PSG. I don’t think so.

“Alves’ contract with Barcelona is ending and he wants to renew with them. At the end of the day, this is all a game.”

Van Gaal intends to reshape his squad to win the Premier League next season and Alves could be the best option for United to compete for the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.
