Manchester City eye PSG defender Marquinhos

The recent reports from talkSPORT suggesting that the French champions Paris Saint-Germain are ready to listen to offers for their defender Marquinhos, who is a summer target for Manchester City and Barcelona both.

The Brazilian centre-back joined the Persians a year ago in a £27 million deal, but has struggled to find his place in Laurent Blanc’s first team.

Although, with the arrival of former Chelsea defender David Luiz this summer, along with Thiago Silva and Alex, it seems the 20-year-old’s future at Parc des Princes is uncertain.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is keen to bring the Brazilian to the Etihad, as a long-term replacement to the outgoing Martin Demichelis.

But the Premier League champions have to compete it out with the La Liga giants Barcelona for his signature, who are both looking to bring a top-class centre-back this summer.
