Napoli confirm Edinson Cavani move story

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has hailed that Edinson Cavani was close to joining Manchester City in the summer.

During the summer window, Manchester City were close to linked with the Uruguay international, but the 26-year-old forward eventually moved to Paris Saint-Germain for a reported transfer fee of £54m.

“Manchester City visited me in Rome, but they just offered around £29.9m so I didn’t accept,” De Laurentiis told Sky Sports News.
