Real Madrid lining up move for Arsenal defender

Champions League finalist Real Madrid are plotting a summer move for Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny, according to reports from The Express.

The Frenchman has made 30 Premier League appearances with his pace and ability on the ball this term, with his stunning performances have been attracting European heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain, and now Real Madrid are also interested in his services.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is said to be looking to find a replacement for Portuguese defender Pepe, with Koscielny is seen as the ideal option at the Los Blancos.

It is understood the Gunners wants to keep Laurent Koscielny, but a move to the Bernabeu may tempt the 28-year-old defender.

However, the London club will also be looking to bolster their squad in the upcoming transfer window as they plan for a 17th consecutive Champions League campaign next term.
