Report: Edin Dzeko on West Ham United’s radar

West Ham United have reportedly stepped up their interest on bringing Roma striker Edin Dzeko back to the English Premier League this summer, Brentwood Gazette claims.

The Hammers have enjoyed an excellent campaign in the premier league top flight this season and are expected to bolster their squad ahead of their first season in the Olympic Stadium.

The report suggests that the English club have earmarked Dzeko as one of their prime targets, with the 30-year-old reportedly available for somewhere around £20m.

The striker joined Roma from Manchester City last summer but has managed to score just seven goals in 25 Serie A appearances in his debut season at the club.

It is believed that the allure of a new stadium and potentially European football could convince the Bosnian to swap Rome for East London, with West Ham manager Slaven Bilic understood to be a keen admirer of the former Manchester City man.

Dzeko has scored 72 goals in 189 appearances and won two Premier League titles during a five-year spell with the Sky Blues.
