Report: Man United want Zlatan Ibrahimovic?

Manchester United have reportedly stepped up their interest in to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whose contract is set to expire at the end of this season.

The Swedish hitman is on the verge for a fourth successive Ligue 1 title this season, with the Parisians are currently leading the table with 23 points clear of second-placed AS Monaco.

But Ibrahimovic’s days in the French capital are running out quickly as the talismanic striker is expected to leave the Parc des Princes when his deal expires at the end of the campaign, with the plenty of clubs across Europe believed to be interested in his services.

According to L’Equipe, the latest club to join the race to sign the 34-year-old is none other than Manchester United, who are reportedly in hunt for top-quality forwards for next season.

The report adds, The vice-chairman of Manchester United – Ed Woodward want Ibrahimovic to mentor Anthony Martial.

Meanwhile, Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal continues to struggle at Old Trafford and it remains to be seen whether or not the Dutchman still be at the managerial role at the end of the campaign.
