Reports – Mourinho to sign Higuain

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is desperate to sign Napoli’s highly-rated ace Gonzalo Higuain in January transfer window, according to ESPN FC.

The Argentina international has been in sensational form this season, scored 12 goals and 6 assist in 20 appearances so far. He has joined the Italian club Napoli from Real Madrid on a five-year deal in summer and the signing amount was reported around £34.5 million.
The report claims, Chelsea are keen to offer more lucrative package to the 26-year-old in order to land the prolific striker at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea Strikeforce

The Blues trio strikers have struggled this premier league season – with the likes of, Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto’o both has scored two goals in 12 and 9 Premier League games respectively, while Demba Ba has scored only one in eight appearances.

Chelsea also have Romelu Lukaku, but the 20-year-old striker is currently serving his loan spell at Everton. The Belgium international has scored eight goals in 13 games this season.

Chelsea Transfer Rumours

Mourinho has already discussed about his January plans that he is going to dive into the transfer market in order to strengthen the forward-line.

It sounds like a rumour about the Higuain transfer move, as Napoli doesn’t want to sell his star player at any cost, but on the other side it will be still a mystery if Mourinho could spend more than £35m for the Argentine. But we are sure, there will be surely some new faces to the Blues ahead of the January transfer window.
