Liverpool are reportedly in talks with Premier league rivals Chelsea over a potential summer move for midfielder Thorgan Hazard, according to reports from the Metro.
The Belgium international has spent the last two successful seasons on loan at¬†Zulte Waregem, where he has 16 goals so far this season. Thorgan is however yet to make a senior appearance for the Blues.
This has alerted Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, who approached Jose Mourinho to begin transfer talks for highly-rated young midfielder, although Everton and Schalke are also said to be interested in Thorgan’s signature.
Following with his stunning performance at Belgian Pro League, the 21-year-old winger has been included in the Belgium’s 30-man squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
It has been reported that Hazard is valued to be around ¬£6million, meaning Rodgers can afford in this summer.
