Tottenham defender Eric Dier pens new contract

Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier has penned a new 5-yr deal with the north London club.

The England Under-21 international, who joined Spurs from the Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon in 2014, will remain at the White Hart Lane until 2020.

The 21-year-old, who can play as a full-back or centre-back – has established himself as a holding midfielder so far this season.

We are delighted to announce that Eric Dier has signed a new contract with the club which will run until 2020,” the premier league club have stated on their official website.

Dier has notched three goals in 41 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Spurs have also confirmed a work permit has been granted for South Korean Heung-Min Son, who joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen on a £22million deal in late August and will wear the Number 7 shirt this season.
