Chelsea have already secured the services of Diego Costa and Didier Drogba this summer, and manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he has no plans to sell the Spaniard – following the departures of Romelu Lukaku, Demba Ba, and Samuel Eto’o.
The 30-year-old striker has been struggling since he joined the Blues from Liverpool in 2011, scoring five Premier League goals in 28 appearances last season.
Despite his poor performance at Premier League, the Spanish champions Atletico Madrid were reportedly keen to bring the former Liverpool star back to his home town.
During his four-years of career with Chelsea – Torres has won the Champions League, Europa League, and the FA Cup – has scored 45 goals in 172 appearances for the Premier League giants.
