Rajkovic Transfer News: Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United Eye €18m Teenager

Four of Europe’s biggest clubs are reportedly tracking Gabriel Rajkovic, the 15-year-old forward who has taken Norwegian football by storm at Vålerenga. Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked, although Fichajes claims none has yet moved clear of the pack.

A fee of roughly €18 million is said to be needed to prise him from Oslo, but no formal bid has been reported.

Barcelona’s interest appears to have sharpened in August, when representatives from the Catalan giants watched Vålerenga face Bodø/Glimt. The occasion proved memorable for the teenager, who netted his first senior league goal. He has since made 14 Eliteserien appearances in 2026, scoring twice. Should one of the Premier League sides decide to formalise its interest, a bidding contest could follow.

Record-Breaking Eliteserien Start

Rajkovic struck against Bodø/Glimt on 8 August aged 15 years, five months and 15 days, making him the second-youngest scorer in Eliteserien history behind Martin Ødegaard. In September he added a stoppage-time equaliser against Sarpsborg 08, rescuing a 2-2 draw. Comparisons with Erling Haaland are inevitable given his age and nationality, yet they should be treated cautiously. He has limited senior minutes, and his physical and technical development will shape his future far more than early headlines.

Vålerenga Hold Leverage

Vålerenga have tied Rajkovic down until the end of 2028, giving them a strong negotiating position. An €18 million valuation is significant for a player only just starting his senior career, and competition between Barcelona and Premier League rivals could push it higher.

In my view, whoever signs him is buying potential rather than a finished product, so patience matters. The more intriguing question is not which club wins the race but how a 15-year-old copes with the spotlight already following him. A managed pathway, with regular minutes in Norway, may serve him better than an early move to a giant.
