Real Madrid Monitoring Former Academy Midfielder Chema Andres After Brighton Impact
Real Madrid are reportedly tracking Chema Andres, with the midfielder making an encouraging start to life in the Premier League with Brighton & Hove Albion, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

Andres Settles Quickly at Brighton
The 21-year-old arrived from VfB Stuttgart on deadline day and has wasted little time in showing his quality. He scored his first Brighton goal in the 3-0 win over Arsenal on 19 September, then played the full 90 minutes in the following victory against Sunderland.
Across more than 200 Premier League minutes, Andres has started three matches and been directly involved in two goals. He spent seven years in Real Madrid’s academy at Valdebebas, and his exit reportedly left no ill feeling at the Bernabeu.
Stuttgart Form Paved the Way
Andres made 39 appearances for Stuttgart last season, contributing four goals and two assists as the Bundesliga side qualified for the Champions League. Brighton moved quickly to secure him on a five-year deal, hoping he can improve their control in possession and build-up play.
At 1.90 metres, he blends physical presence with sound positioning and tidy distribution.
Could Madrid Bring Him Home?
Opportunities were limited at Madrid, with Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde ahead of him. Even so, the club are said to be searching for a midfielder capable of dictating tempo, particularly since missing out on Rodri.
For now, Madrid appear content to watch his progress. In my view, a few more standout displays in England would make a return a realistic option, though Brighton hold a long contract and will not be pushed into a sale easily.
