Everton keen on Manchester City Star

Everton are planning an end-of-season move for Manchester City star Jack Rodwell, according to reports in The Mirror.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been struggling with a series of injuries since he arrived at the Etihad Stadium two years ago from Everton in 2012 and has managed just nine starts for The Citizens in all competition this season.

It is understood, Roberto Martinez is keen to bring the former Everton star at the Goodison Park this summer.

Rodwell, joined the Toffees’ youth academy at the age of seven and penned his first professional contract with the Goodison Park club in 2010, where he managed to feature in 85 appearances for the Toffees.

It is obvious that The City boss Manuel Pellegrini is not likely to extend Rodwell’s contract because of injury issues, despite the fact that he has been a regular in recent weeks.

The report also suggests, Arsenal and Tottenham are the other two clubs that are also interested to lure the services of the England international.
