Man United keen on signing Joshua Kimmich

Manchester United’s pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich has intensified as they aim to secure his signature in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old German international is seeking a new challenge as his contract with the Bundesliga giants expires next June, sparking interest from top clubs across Europe.

Manchester United, along with Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal, have been linked with Kimmich, while Barcelona and Real Madrid also covet his talents.

Sport reports that Man United see Kimmich as the perfect replacement for Casemiro, who is expected to depart Old Trafford this summer.

Despite competition from Barcelona, the Red Devils appear to be leading the race for Kimmich among Premier League clubs. The 20-time English champions are making significant efforts to prioritise his acquisition, with plans to bolster their midfield ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Kimmich’s impressive track record at Bayern includes 20 trophies, including eight Bundesliga titles and a Champions League triumph. His versatility and impact on the pitch make him a coveted asset for any top club.

Meanwhile, Casemiro’s tenure at Old Trafford seems to be nearing its end. The Brazilian midfielder joined the Mancunian giants from Real Madrid in 2022 but has faced fitness issues and a decline in form recently.

Clubs from Saudi Arabia are also reportedly interested in Casemiro, indicating his potential departure from Man United in the upcoming transfer window.
