Man City fans react to Sergio Aguero’s injury
The Premier League leaders Manchester City have suffered a huge blow with forward Sergio Aguero picked up a hamstring injury during an international duty with Argentina, which will keep him out of the derby with rivals Manchester United on 25th October.
The 27-year-old lasted only 20 minutes of their World Cup qualifier 2-0 loss against Ecuador in Buenos Aires, before being stretchered off with a hamstring to his left leg, the BBC reported.
The Argentine forward had been in superb form, scoring five goals in City’s 6-1 Premier League win over Newcastle United in his last appearance.
He could miss out City’s next few games including a match against Bournemouth, the Champions League encounter with Sevilla, and the crucial derby against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
