Report: Man United interested in German forward Mario Gomez

Manchester United are considering a January move for veteran German striker Mario Gomez, according to calciomercato.com
The 30-year-old, who is currently serving his loan spell at Besiktas from Fiorentina, having scored eight times in 10 league games for the Turkish outfit this season.
It is understood that Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is desperate to bolster his striking options to resolve his side’s goalscoring issues, and Gomez has emerged as a target for the Red Devils, who currently have three first-team forwards on their squad.
Gomez has scored 25 times in 60 appearances for Germany, is believed to be surplus to requirements at Serie A outfit Fiorentina.
