West Ham and Everton in Tug-of-War for Sergio Reguilon

The battle for Sergio Reguilon is heating up, with both West Ham United and Everton eyeing the experienced left-back as a summer bargain.

According to Caught Offside, the Hammers are closely tracking Reguilon as they look to bolster their left side. With Emerson Palmieri expected to depart, West Ham have already taken steps by lining up El Hadji Malick Diouf from Slavia Praha—but it appears Graham Potter wants more options in the mix.

Free Agent Opportunity Spurs Interest

Reguilon is currently a free agent after running down his contract at Tottenham Hotspur. His representatives have offered him to top European clubs like Juventus and AC Milan. While Milan are on the lookout for a new left-back following Theo Hernandez’s exit—scouting names like Fran Garcia and even Emerson again—they haven’t pulled the trigger on Reguilon just yet.

That hesitation has left the door wide open for Premier League rivals to swoop in.

Everton and Bournemouth Also Circling

West Ham aren’t alone in this pursuit. Everton and Bournemouth are also monitoring the situation. The Toffees are seeking support for Vitaliy Mykolenko, while Bournemouth have already brought in Adrien Truffert from Rennes but want further reinforcements following Milos Kerkez’s exit.

A Career Needing a Revival

Reguilon rose to prominence after a strong loan spell at Sevilla from Real Madrid, which led to his high-profile move to Spurs. However, he never quite established himself in north London, falling out of favour under Ange Postecoglou and spending a brief, unremarkable loan at Manchester United in 2023/24.

Despite a dip in form, his experience and availability make him a smart pick-up for clubs looking to add quality without splashing the cash. With no transfer fee involved, Reguilon could prove to be a savvy late-window or post-window signing for whichever side acts fastest.
