PSG and Bayern Munich Battle for Man United Defender Leny Yoro
Leny Yoro’s limited minutes at Manchester United have caught the attention of two European heavyweights, with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich both reportedly monitoring his situation, according to TEAMtalk.

Why PSG Want Leny Yoro
PSG are said to be prepared to move should United decide his long-term future is not at Old Trafford. The 20-year-old is a natural centre-back but has shown he can cover at right-back, including a recent display against Tottenham. That versatility appeals to the French champions, who could view him as cover for Achraf Hakimi or an eventual successor to the ageing Marquinhos.
Bayern Munich Also Watching
Bayern are keeping tabs too, with Kim Min-jae’s uncertain future in Bavaria potentially opening a vacancy. Yoro’s pace, composure and flexibility fit the profile of defender the Bundesliga side like to develop.
Man United’s Stance
United paid more than £50 million to sign Yoro from Lille in 2024 and have no obvious reason to sell. However, a substantial bid could test that resolve if his playing time does not improve.
Our Opinion
United must tread carefully here. Yoro is still only 20, and judging him harshly for not yet being an automatic starter would be short-sighted, as young defenders need patience to adapt to the Premier League’s physical demands. Even so, if Michael Carrick cannot offer a clear route into the starting XI, his development could stall. Giving him meaningful minutes should be the priority, rather than cashing in too soon. Should that fail, PSG and Bayern will be waiting.
