Agustin Giay on Chelsea radar?

Chelsea have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for 20-year-old Argentine right-back Agustin Giay.

Renowned journalist Rudy Galetti has revealed that the Blues are keen on the San Lorenzo prospect, who has been turning heads in his homeland.

Chelsea’s need for reinforcements at right-back stems from Reece James’s recurring fitness issues, making Giay a strategic target.

Agustin Giay, who hails from San Carlos, has risen through the ranks at CA San Lorenzo de Almagro, making his first-team debut in April 2022. Since then, he has racked up 84 appearances, showcasing his potential with a goal and two assists.

Chelsea’s interest in Giay is part of a broader strategy to strengthen their defensive options. While Malo Gusto impressed in his debut season, the club are looking for additional depth and versatility.

As the summer transfer window approaches, it will be intriguing to see if Chelsea can finalise a deal for Giay, bringing another exciting young talent to Stamford Bridge.
