Arsenal considering shock swoop for Marcus Rashford

The Premier League leaders Arsenal have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.

The Gunners strengthened their attack with the signings of Gabriel Jesus, Marquinhos and Fabio Vieira ahead of this season.

However, the North Londoners are still eyeing more reinforcements in the mid-season and Football Insider claim that United’s Rashford is being monitored.

The England international has been in impressive form this season with three goals and two assists from seven top flight appearances.

He possesses a contract until the end of the 2022-23 campaign, but the Red Devils have the option to extend by another 12 months.

Arsenal are expected to trigger the clause at the midway point of the campaign but it remains to be seen whether they can prolong his stay further.

Rashford has been impressive for United over the years, but they could sell him next year if he refuses to renew his contract.
