Arsenal Targeting Standard Liege Striker Michy Batshuayi
|The north Londoners are reportedly planning a £8m January swoop for young striker Michy Batshuayi from Standard Liege, according to the Daily Mirror.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has two strikers in his January targets and will continue to set his sight on the Belgian footballer until the transfer window re-opens next month.
The Gunners are currently leading alongside with Liverpool on the top of the Premier League standings. In addition, Arsenal have also made into the “round of 16” in the UEFA Champions League, which will be start in February 2014.
Arsenal are currently struggling with their attacking options ahead of the second half of this season and the Frenchman is hoping to bring in reinforcements up front who could also assist star striker Olivier Giroud. The Belgium Under-21 international is considered as one of the highly rated strikers in Europe in his age group.
The 20-year-old striker has been in sensational form in Belgian Pro League this season, he scored 12 goals in just 17 appearances so far. It has been understood that it would be a bright career for this young lad as he could get a great exposure in premier league to show his caliber and skills while playing for the Gunners.
