Arsenal to launch summer bid for Youri Tielemans

Arsenal are reportedly considering opening talks with Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans regarding a Bosman move in the summer as the midfielder nears the end of his contract.

The 25-year-old appears to be moving towards leaving the club as a free agent. While the Foxes had been optimistic about extending his deal, the midfielder seems ready for a new chapter.

The Belgium international has a deal at Leicester until June 2023.

The Gunner had the option to approach the Belgian last month, but instead opted to wait until the summer when they could sign him on a free transfer. According to Dean Jones, Arsenal are expected to make a move for the midfielder soon.

Newcastle United have also expressed interest in Tielemans, making it possible for the pursuit to become a competition.

Signing Tielemans on a free transfer would be an attractive opportunity for a team like Arsenal, who are also in the market for Declan Rice but would require significant financial investment.
