Chelsea looking to sign Algerian winger Yacine Brahimi from FC Porto?

The Premier League champions Chelsea are reportedly plotting a January move for Porto winger Yacine Brahimi, according to Italian website Tutto Mercarto Web.

The 25-year-old playmaker has scored 12 goals in 43 appearances for the Portuguese giants since he arrived Estadio do Dragao from Granada in 2014.

The report claims that, the Blues are keen to strengthen their squad after a poor start to the season, with the London side currently sit 14th in the league table, having just eight points in seven games.

The Algerian international reportedly has a £44.1m release clause in his contract, who has previously played for Rennes, Clermont and Grenada and earned 22 caps for his national side.

Brahimi’s fellow compatriots Riyad Mahrez and Nabil Bentaleb both are currently playing in the Premier League with Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.

Chelsea will take on Porto on Tuesday in the Champions League.
