The Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal have reportedly joined the battle to push through a move to sign Mauro Icardi from Inter Milan, as per the Daily Express.

The Spanish media outlet Fichajes claimed that the Reds are confident as Jurgen Klopp could make the deal possible, as he look to re-shape their squad next month in January transfer window.

However, the Italian giants are reluctant to sell the 22 year old superstar due to the quality that he possesses, though he managed to score four goals in 12 outings so far this term.

If the deal goes through, it will be a huge boost for Liverpool who are struggling with a long term injury to Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge up front.

While, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is quite desperate to add some more quality players to his squad and could make a £32m bid for Icardi in January after yet another injury crisis at the Emirates.
