Liverpool join Chelsea in race to sign Moises Caicedo?

Liverpool are reportedly ready to lock horns with Chelsea over the signature of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.

The 20-year-old has proven himself to be a first-team regular at the Amex Stadium and his performances have understandably attracted interest from other top European clubs.

The midfielder joined Brighton in February 2021 from Ecuadorian outfit Independiente del Valle for just £4.5m.

He was sent out on loan to Belgium outfit Beerschot for the first half of the 2020-21 season, before returning to the Seagulls and featuring 11 times in all competitions for the second half of the campaign.

Caicedo still has three years left on his contract, but speculation continues to circulate about his future.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool are considering to rival Chelsea for Caicedo’s signature at the turn of the year.

Meanwhile, Manchester United and Arsenal are also thought to be weighing up a move for the Ecuadorian.
