Liverpool keen on Alex Scott

Liverpool are reportedly among a few clubs looking to swoop for Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott.

The 19-year-old has played a starring role for the Robins and has managed to score two goals and provide five assists in 44 matches during the current campaign.

The teenager has started in 37 out of Bristol City’s 41 Championship matches in the 2022-23 season, but he has been out of action since the beginning of the month due to a knee injury.

Due to his rapid rise, versatility, and direct contribution to goals, several top-flight clubs have shown an interest in him. Among them are Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United.

The Daily Mail now claims that Liverpool have also expressed interest in signing Scott. The Reds sent its head of recruitment, Dave Fallows, and chief scout, Barry Hunter, to watch him in action against Germany during the international break.

West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also keeping an eye on the English midfielder, but neither side are safe from the threat of relegation to the Championship just yet.

Scott is under contract at Ashton Gate until the summer of 2025. However, the Robins may find it difficult to turn down a substantial offer from a Premier League club.
