Chelsea striker Loic Remy to wear No. 18 shirt

Chelsea striker Loic Remy has been handed the number 18 shirt following his move to Stamford Bridge from Queen’s Park Rangers in an £8.5 million deal on Sunday, the club confirmed on Twitter.

The Frenchman will wear the number 18 shirt for the Blues this season vacated by Romelu Lukaku, who joined Everton earlier this summer.

The 27-year-old spent his last season on loan at Newcastle United, scoring 14 goals in 26 appearances for the Magpies.

Remy becomes the third centre-forward to join the west London club this summer following the arrival of Diego Costa and Didier Drogba.
