Man United interested in Julio Soler
Manchester United search for a dependable left-back is heating up, with Erik ten Hag eyeing Argentina’s Julio Soler as a promising candidate.
Soler, currently with Lanús, has impressed in the Argentine top tier and is valued at around £13 million. United’s need for reinforcement at left-back has become pressing due to persistent injury concerns surrounding Luke Shaw and Tyrel Malacia.
With both players sidelined and no set timeline for their return, Ten Hag has resorted to makeshift solutions, even deploying Lisandro Martinez on the left recently.

Soler’s defensive capabilities, along with his ability to push forward, could bring much-needed stability to United’s left flank.
However, Liverpool are also reportedly monitoring Soler, potentially setting up a transfer tussle between the Premier League rivals. Alongside Soler, United are exploring high-profile options, such as Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies and Girona’s Miguel Gutiérrez, with Ten Hag keen on adding quality to his squad.
The January window will be pivotal for the Red Devils, as Ten Hag seeks the ideal left-back to strengthen his squad’s defensive options.
