Man United setting up a loan deal for Wout Weghorst?
|Manchester United are reportedly interested in bringing in Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley.
The Red Devils are said to be in the market for a new striker after the contract of Cristiano Ronaldo was terminated.
There have been rumours linking Man United with several players in recent weeks, such as Joao Felix, Memphis Depay, Olivier Giroud, and Vincent Aboubakar, as possible targets for Manchester United.
According to ESPN, Manchester United are interested in acquiring Weghorst, who is currently on loan at Turkish club Besiktas from Burnley.
The 30-year-old left Wolfsburg in January to join the Clarets, and later moved on to Besiktas on a season-long loan.
The Dutchman has excelled in the Super Lig, registering eight goals and four assists in 16 appearances, and the 20-time English champions are rumoured to be interested in a loan deal until the end of the season.
Reports indicate that the Mancunian giants have already begun negotiations with Burnley, and Weghorst is believed to be open to a move to Old Trafford. However, Burnley would have to recall the Dutchman from Turkey for the deal to go through.
