Manchester United have tabled a €55m bid for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to La Reppublica, via LazioNews24.
The 27-year-old has been a key figure in the middle of the pitch for the Serie A outfit during the 2021-22 season, contributing 11 goals and 12 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions.
United head coach Erik ten Hag will look to strengthen his squad this summer and he is expected to bring at least one new midfielder, with Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata all set to leave the Old Trafford upon their contracts expire next month.
The Red Devils have tabled a €55m offer for Milinkovic-Savic following discussions with agent Mateja Kezman, and further talks between the two parties are set to be held within ‘the next few days.
The report goes on to claim that Biancocelesti valued the Serbian at around €80m, but Kezman believes an agreement could be in between €65m and €70m.
Milinkovic-Savic is under contract with Lazio until June 2024.
