Marcus Thuram expresses desire to play for Manchester United

The German newspaper Bild reports that Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram has his heart set on a move to Manchester United in January.

With just six months left on his contract at Gladbach, the Frenchman is expected to be sold for £10.6 million in January. According to Bild, Thuram has four dream clubs that he would like to join: Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain.

The report adds that Newcastle United and Aston Villa have also shown interest in Thuram, but it is unlikely that the 25-year-old will join either team.

Thuram has had a strong season in the Bundesliga, contributing 10 goals and three assists in 15 games, and adding three goals and one assist in the DFB-Pokal Cup. He is now seeking a new challenge, and a move to Old Trafford could be the perfect opportunity for him.

The Red Devils are said to be seeking more depth at the front, where Marcus Rashford has had standout performances but Anthony Martial has been inconsistent. Thuram could potentially join the starting lineup, as Rashford is more comfortable playing on the left wing.
