Report – Davinson Sanchez on verge of Tottenham exit
|Galatasaray are set to secure the signing of Davinson Sanchez from Tottenham Hotspur, with a deal worth €10-15 million, including add-ons.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the transfer, marking a ‘Here We Go’ moment for Sanchez’s move to the Turkish club. This move comes after the Colombian defender found himself out of favour and unable to move on deadline day.
Galatasaray acted swiftly in the Turkish transfer window to secure Sanchez, who was no longer part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans at Tottenham.
The €10-15 million deal for Sanchez’s permanent transfer also includes a loan move for midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. Both players bring valuable Champions League experience to Galatasaray’s squad.
Tottenham had been actively seeking a buyer for Sanchez throughout the summer, even exploring a part-exchange deal with Galatasaray involving Danish centre-back Victor Nelsson. Despite interest from Rennes and other clubs, the Colombian remained at Spurs.
Galatasaray capitalised on the situation, securing Sanchez at a reasonable price with the €10-15 million deal, including add-ons. The 27-year-old is expected to sign a contract until 2027, with medical examinations scheduled in the coming 24 hours.
Sanchez had fallen down the pecking order at Tottenham, and the club’s failure to offload other defensive players like Eric Dier further limited his opportunities.
Joining Galatasaray offers Sanchez a chance for regular playing time and a fresh start in his career.
