Tottenham Hotspur considering move for Borussia Monchengladbach’s Yann Sommer?
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to up their efforts to secure a deal for Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
Spurs head coach Antonio Conte is currently well stocked for options between the sticks, the club’s No.1 Hugo Lloris having recently signed a new deal.
However, at the age of 35, Lloris future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is uncertain.
According to Givemesport, Tottenham hold an interest in signing the signature of Sommer in the near future.
The 34-year-old has consistently been on the radar of some of the elite clubs across Europe following his performances for Switzerland.
He recently moved to 80 caps with his country, making three appearances at the World Cup hoping the team to reach the last 16 in Qatar.
Sommer’s contract with the German club is due to expire at the end of the season, while the stopper can also hold discussions with foreign clubs from January 1.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Manchester United were ready to launch a January bid for Sommer.
