The Premier League outfit Arsenal are the latest club to have joined the race for Alvaro Morata as a replacement for Danny Welbeck at the Emirates.
Welbeck has been sidelines for around nine months through a knee injury, meaning that the England star is not only ruled out of the European Championship 2016, but is also going to be unavailable for Premier League next season.
As a result, the Gunners are reportedly in the market for a new attacker and the latest reports from the Daily Mirror suggests that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has set his sights on Juventus superstar Alvaro Morata.
The Spain international has impressed the Turin based outfit since arriving from Real Madrid in 2014, scored 15 goals in 62 Serie A appearances for the Bianconeri.
The 23-year-old’s overall performances were quite justified and many pundits believe he will eventually develop into one of Europe’s leading strikers.
Morata arrival would definitely be a huge boost for the north Londoners, but, the Gunners could face a stiff competition to secure his signature.
