Prestianni Transfer: Chelsea, PSG and Tottenham Monitor Benfica Winger

Three Clubs Weigh Up a Move

Chelsea, PSG and Tottenham are reportedly preparing to track Benfica’s Gianluca Prestianni closely before deciding whether to make a formal approach. According to Fichajes, any contact will depend on how the 20-year-old Argentine’s contract talks in Lisbon develop.

Impressive Form Attracts Attention

Prestianni has contributed 10 goals and six assists in 18 appearances this season, a marked improvement that has caught the eye of Europe’s elite. He can operate as an attacking midfielder or on the right flank, and that versatility appeals to all three suitors.

Why Each Club Is Interested

Chelsea already have strength in attack, but see the winger as long-term depth, particularly with uncertainty around Jamie Gittens’ future. Tottenham like his adaptability across the front line, while PSG could use extra competition under Luis Enrique, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia sidelined for the rest of 2026/27 with a knee injury.

Benfica Hold the Cards

Prestianni’s contract runs until June 2029 and reportedly contains a €100 million release clause. Benfica are said to have agreed in principle to extend that deal to 2031, more than doubling his wages. The Portuguese side signed him from Vélez Sarsfield in January 2024 for around €9 million.

Our Take

A £85 million-plus price tag makes a January deal unlikely unless the extension collapses. Still, Chelsea look best placed to capitalise on a long-term project, given their track record of investing in young attackers. Tottenham may find it hardest to compete financially, but his profile suits their needs.
