Arsenal keen on Schalke winger Julian Draxler

Arsenal are reportedly planning a summer move for the Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler with a £30m fee on a transfer deal, reports Metro.

The German international had a frustrating 2014-15 season filled with injuries – despite his fitness woes, the Gunners are likely to secure his services as their manager Arsene Wenger aim for more major honours.

The newspaper reports that the north Londoners are set to bid £30million for the 21-year-old’s signature, who has made over 100 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit since making his debut in 2011.

It wouldn’t be a tough decision for Draxler to turn down an opportunity to play for a third-place Premier League club.

However, a move to Emirates would be a tough call for Draxler as he has to fight for a first-team place with Germany teammate Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott.
